The Standardbed Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey will again offer a resident mare rebate and pacing stallion incentive program in 2019. SBOANJ membership is required to qualify for both programs.
The resident mare rebate is $500 to owners of mares bred in 2019. A mare does not have to bred to a New Jersey stallion, but must reside in New Jersey for at least 150 days up to and including foaling. This program will be capped at $100,000.
The pacing stallion incentive program will rebate 15% of the advertised stud fee, up to $1500, to the breeder of record. Stallions must breed at least 5 mares to be eligible for the rebate. The pacing rebate program will be capped at $150,000.
