New Jersey Stallions Filling Up

Ever since Governor Murphy signed the $100 million appropriation into law on Valentine’s Day, the Standardbred horse breeding industry has rejuvenated interest. For example in the last month or so breedings to Lazarus N have increased drastically to the point that his book is almost full.

Clearly, the prospect of breeding over 700 mares in New Jersey in 2019 is an incredible increase over 279 breedings in 2017 and 435 in 2018.

The New Jersey legislators have given the New Jersey racing and breeding industry a wonderful opportunity and it appears that their commitment and support will be rewarded.
